Project Scheduler (Multiple Levels)

Job Purpose

Project Schedulers support the development, management, and maintenance of detailed project schedules for biopharmaceutical capital and operational programs. This role progresses from executing scheduling activities with guidance to fully owning complex schedules and driving strategic project controls decisions independently.

Across all levels, Project Schedulers contribute to project planning, schedule analysis, and forecasting to ensure alignment with project execution strategies, with increasing levels of autonomy, complexity, and leadership influence.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed, logic-driven schedules for engineering, procurement, construction, CQV, and startup activities
  • Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, and forecasting
  • Conduct schedule variance analysis and support recovery planning
  • Coordinate schedule development with cross-functional project teams and vendors
  • Support change management and schedule impact assessments
  • Provide routine schedule reports and insights to project leadership
  • Develop and maintain schedule reporting tools

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Construction Management or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience facilitating multi-stakeholder pull planning workshops
  • Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling techniques and schedule logic development
  • Experience with capital project execution; preferred experience to be in life sciences based projects
  • Past involvement in projects executed within operational facilities
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar enterprise scheduling tools
  • Experience working on capital projects or technical programs preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Project Scheduler: 6 – 10 Years
  • Sr. Project Scheduler: 8 – 12 Years
  • Lead Scheduler: 10 – 14 Years

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Move throughout large manufacturing facilities and around production equipment
  • Wear required PPE and comply with site gowning, safety, and contamination-control procedures
  • Work in cleanroom or controlled environments

Location and Travel

  • Primary residence in A‑BIO major client hubs in Philadelphia/NJ, Maryland, or North Carolina
  • Highly mobilized role spending significant time (50–80%) on client sites and with A‑BIO teams
  • Hybrid/remote flexibility subject to project needs
  • Travel requirements dependent on primary residence and project needs; minimum travel expected to be at least 20–25%
