Job Purpose
The A-BIO Intern supports consulting engagements and internal initiatives focused on biopharmaceutical manufacturing, technical operations, and project execution. This role provides students or early-career professionals with the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to GMP-regulated environments, consulting project delivery, custom component/process designing, and operational excellence within the life sciences industry.
Working alongside experienced consultants and technical leaders, the intern contributes to data analysis, documentation development, and operational support activities while developing a foundational understanding of biopharma manufacturing, quality systems, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support consulting teams with project execution activities across technical operations, quality, and manufacturing initiatives
- Conduct research and data analysis related to biopharmaceutical processes, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices
- Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, presentations, and project deliverables
- Participate in project meetings and support meeting documentation and action tracking
- Support process mapping, data trending, and operational improvement initiatives
- Assist with development or review of SOPs, work instructions, and other controlled documents
- Contribute to internal A-BIO initiatives such as knowledge development, tool creation, or operational frameworks
- Support in the designing of custom components, single use systems, and prototype design

Preferred Qualification:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Biochemical Engineering
- Bioengineering
- Biotechnology
- Life Sciences
- Industrial Engineering
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- or a related discipline
- Interest in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing, Project Management, Process Engineering, Project Engineering, or Technical operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in collaborative team environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Exposure to GMP environments, laboratory work, or manufacturing is a plus

Work Environment
