Position Summary
AllianceBio (A-BIO) is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, enabling efficient project delivery and organizational excellence. This role bridges executive leadership and staff, ensuring operational communication and continuity across operations, finance, HR, recruiting, compliance, technology, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight with hands-on execution to optimize company performance, employee engagement, firm scalability, and quality delivery.
Travel: Minimal (10 - 20%)
Report to: Principals
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Resource Support: Standardize and maintain tools and systems for knowledge management, quality delivery, and resource allocation
- Financial & Performance Management: Partner with Finance on budgets, forecasts, and cost control. Track utilization, realization, and margin metrics.
- People & Talent: Manage recruiting, onboarding, training, and workforce planning processes. Foster collaboration, engagement, and professional development.
- Benefits & HR Administration: Manage benefits programs (health, life, 401k, leave) and ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and labor laws.
- Compliance & Risk: Maintain workplace safety, environmental, insurance, and regulatory compliance (EHS&G, DEI, anti-corruption, cybersecurity).
- Technology & Systems: Oversee business platforms (Microsoft, Bluebeam, ADP, BigTime, HubSpot). Ensure secure, efficient hybrid operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements, benchmark firm performance, and promote operational innovation.
- Measure and Report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in professional services and/or life sciences operations/consulting.
- Knowledge of recruiting, HR, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution.
