  Dr. Steven Lee
CEO
Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He has a broad range of industrial experiences in bioprocess development, commercial product launches and biologics manufacturing.  Previously he held various engineering, management and executive positions at Hoffman-La Roche, Inc., Merck & Co., and Bristol Myers Squibb Company.  Most recently before joining A-Bio, Dr. Lee held the position of Vice President and General Manager of the BMS Syracuse, New York, Biologics Manufacturing and Process Development complex overseeing over 800 employees and a wide range of biological drugs and development candidates including antibody therapeutics.


  Dr. Emil Fu
Vice-President, Bioprocess Development
Dr. Fu is the Vice President of BioProcess Development at A-Bio. He received his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from the Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio and did his post-doctoral research in mass spectrometry at the Brookhaven National Laboratories, Upton, New York. He has more than 25 years of broad drug discovery research experience with major Pharma. Before joining A-Bio, he held a range of research and management positions at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research Inc. of Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Fu effectively championed many cutting-edge technologies for drug discovery research. He established very early on Novartis' mass spectrometry focused protein analytics platform and the protein analytics team which carried out competitive protein characterization support and research (e.g. in proteomics) as well as pioneering mass spec based biologics PK studies. He last held the position of Vice President and Head of Discovery Technologies USA at Novartis' global research headquarters at Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he is responsible for the research and development activities in analytical sciences, structural biology as well as imaging.


  Dr. Hsieh Jih-Han
Director, Biotech Operations
Dr. Hsieh obtained B.S.E. degree in Chemical Engineering, M.S. in Polymer and Physical Chemistry, and M.Phil. / Ph.D. degrees in Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, and is a registered Professional Engineer in USA. Dr. Hsieh has experience in biopharmaceutical industry working with commercial recombinant therapeutic protein process development / scale-up for pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, FDA / EMEA licensed biopharmaceutical facility design, CMC section of BLA submission and approval of humanized monoclonal antibody, CGMP manufacturing and productivity improvement of the approved therapeutic antibody for market supply. Dr. Hsieh was previously with Merck & Co., Inc., Hoffmann-La Roche Inc., Development Center for Biotechnology (Taiwan, ROC), and Celanese Corporation (now Celgene Inc.).


  Dr. Kean-Chong Loh
Director, GMP Operations
Dr. Loh is the Director of GMP Operations. He holds a first class honors B.Eng. (Hons) in Biochemical Engineering from the University College London, United Kingdom and received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He has held various R&D, engineering and project management positions at Singapore Biotech Pte Ltd, Bioprocessing Technology Centre (BTC) and DSM Biologics.  Prior to joining A-Bio, he was the Senior Manager of process engineering and validation at the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre (BMTC).


  Dr. Wayne Gordon
Director, Quality and Regulatory Affairs
Dr. Gordon has responsibility for the Quality and Regulatory functions at A-Bio. He received his Ph.D. in physiology and biophysics from the University of Illinois and did post-doctoral training in protein purification and characterization at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  Since then he held various positions in downstream purification and analytical development, quality control, quality assurance and regulatory affairs at Tanox, Inc. USA.  He was Senior Director of Quality of Tanox, Inc., before joining A-Bio in January of 2008.


  Ms Angie Ng

Financial Controller

Ms Ng is responsible for the finance and treasury functions as the Financial Controller of A-Bio.  She holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom, and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (CPA).  Ms Ng has spent her career to date working for multinational companies in the biotech R&D, IT, telecommunications, freight forwarding and oil and gas sectors in the Asia Pacific region.  She has more than 10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, strategic planning and budgeting, audit, taxation, company secretarial as well as human resources.
