SembCorp Biomedical Pte Ltd (SemBio) was incorporated in Sep 2001, with funding from SembCorp Industtries and EDB Singapore.  SemBio was incorporated with a vision to be a leading contract manufacture of protein based therapeutics in Singapore.

The company was renamed as A-Bio Pharma Pte Ltd in 2002. A-Bio has acquired the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre in 2003, with successful customer audits. Since then, A-Bio has grown in capacity and technologies, and achieved global partnerships.
