Mr. Philip Yeo |
|
Mr.
Philip Yeo
is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for
A-Bio Pharma Pte Ltd. Mr Yeo is currently
the Special Advisor for Economic Development
(Prime Minister's Office) and Chairman of SPRING
Singapore. He was formerly the Chairman of the
Agency for Science, Technology and Research
(A*STAR), the Economic Development Board (EDB)
and the National Computer Board (NCB). Prior
to these appointments, Mr Yeo served in the
Ministry of Defence where he held several
appointments including the appointment of
Permanent Secretary for Defence for logistics,
technology research & development and
defence industries. Mr. Yeo is the
recipient of many national and international
awards from industries, institutions and
governments, and was conferred an honorary
doctorate in Engineering from the University
of
Toronto
and an honorary degree of Doctor of Medicine by
the Karolinska Institute. In addition, Mr.
Yeo is a board member in many listed companies.

Mr.
Clateo Castellini |
|
Mr.
Clateo Castellini holds a BA in Economics from
Bocconi University in Milano, Italy and
completed the Advanced Management Program at the
Harvard Business School. He started his career
in Lepetit , an Italian Pharmaceutical company,
which was later acquired by Dow Chemical. At
Lepetit and Dow he worked on various assignments
in Europe, South America and US. In 1978 Mr.
Castellini joined Becton, Dickinson &
Company and served in various postings around
the world and later was posted to the Corporate
Headquarter in New Jersey. In 1994 he became
Chairman, President and CEO of Becton, Dickinson
& Company and retired in 2002.

Ms.
Chu Swee Yeok |
|
Ms.
Chu Swee Yeok
is the Chief Executive Officer of EDB
Investments (EDBI), the strategic investment arm
of the Singapore Economic Development
Board. She has over 20
years of track record and experience in investments, strategic planning,
technology and industry development. Concurrently,
Swee Yeok is also the Chief Executive Officer of
Bio*One Capital Pte Ltd (Bio*One), a subsidiary
of EDBI, which operates as a dedicated investment company responsible for investments
in high-growth global biomedical
companies. Since her appointment as CEO in
2004, Swee Yeok successfully led the Bio*One
team through many transformational and impactful
biomedical investments in Singapore and
globally. In additional to serving on the
boards of EDBI and Bio*One, Swee Yeok holds a
number of board positions in portfolio companies
including S*Bio Pte Ltd, MerLion Pharmaceuticals
Pte Ltd and The Novartis Institute of Tropical
Diseases (NITD) in Singpoare.

Mr.
John Nine |
|
Mr.
John Nine holds a BS degree in pharmacy and an
honorary science doctorate of pharmacy from
Purdue University.
He received an honorary science doctorate
of pharmacy from Arnold and Marie Schwartz
College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Long
Island University and an honorary doctorate of
Humane Letters from Florida A & M
University. Mr. Nine joined Schering-Plough in
1975 as vice president - pharmaceutical
production.
He later served as president - Schering
technical operations for Schering Laboratories.
He subsequently served as senior vice
president - Group C, and as president of
Schering-Plough K.K., Japan. He was a Corporate
Vice President
and President of Technical Operations. He
is currently on the Board of Yonkers Industries,
Cary, N. C., Aptuit and A-Bio and a Board
Advisor at The Chao Center for Pharmaceutical
Manufacturing. Mr. Nine served as the acting CEO
for A-Bio Pharma at its initiation phase.

Professor Daniel Wang |
|
Professor Daniel Wang holds
BS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering and
an MS degree in Biochemical Engineering. He is
an Institute Professor of Chemical Engineering
at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and
a Temasek Professor at
the National University of Singapore.
For more than 20 years, Professor Wang
has held various positions and chairmanships in
a number of technology organizations in US,
Switzerland, Israel, China and Hong Kong. He is
noted for his research in the fields of
biotechnology and bioengineering and has served
on many editorial boards, having contributed
over 200 articles in journals relating to
biotechnology, bioengineering and chemical
engineering and authored or co-authored a number
of books. He is the
recipient of many awards and holds an Honorary
Doctorate in Engineering from Hong Kong
University of Science and Technology.

Professor
Miranda Gek Sim Yap |
|
Professor Miranda Gek Sim Yap
received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from
the University of Toronto, Canada. She is the
Executive Director of the Bioprocessing
Technology Institute (BTI) in Singapore and is
concurrently the Executive Director of A*STAR
Graduate Academy (A*GA). Her other
accomplishments include the formation of two
other organizations: the Centre for Natural
Product Research - now called Merlion
Pharmaceuticals Pte Ltd and the
Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology
Centre - now known as A-Bio Pharma Pte Ltd.
Professor Yap is actively involved in research,
supervising PhD candidates in the area of Animal
Cell Technology and in developing manpower for
the biopharmaceutical industry in Singapore. In
February 2006, Professor Yap was named as a
Foreign Associate of the US National Academy of
Engineering for her achievements in education,
research and management in the field of
mammalian cell culture.
